Switching

Switching From Shopify POS

Businesses usually leave Shopify POS when the store outgrows an online-first system — more counter volume, more in-person workflows, more staff.

Switching

How the switch runs

  1. Big decision first

Are you keeping the Shopify online store or moving that too?

  2. Catalog export

Products, variants and barcodes export cleanly from Shopify.

  3. Inventory sync

If you keep Shopify online, you need a sync plan or one channel will be wrong.

  4. Customers

    Customer records export and import.

  5. Hardware

    Shopify hardware doesn't transfer.

  6. Gift cards

Shopify gift card balances need a transition plan.

01

Decide the online question before anything else

Two options. Move everything to one platform so the catalog and counts are shared, or keep Shopify online and run a sync. The first is simpler; the second makes sense if your Shopify store is a real asset with traffic and SEO history.

  • Move everything: one catalog, one count
  • Keep Shopify online: needs a sync integration
  • Never run two hand-maintained catalogs

02

The export is the easy part

Shopify exports products, variants and customers to CSV cleanly. The work is cleaning the file — dead SKUs, inconsistent naming, missing barcodes — before importing.

03

Don't lose your SEO

If you're moving the online store too, redirects from old product URLs matter. That's a planning item, not an afterthought.

04

What we handle

Export review, catalog cleanup and import, hardware, inventory sync setup if you keep Shopify, and training.

What you get

Equipment at no cost, free setup, no long-term contract.

Every business we set up gets the same thing: the hardware they need at no cost to them, the configuration and training done for you, and a real person to call afterward — without being locked into a multi-year agreement.

01

No long-term contract required

Flexible month-to-month terms are available on both platforms. You stay because the system works, not because a three-year agreement says you have to.

02

Equipment at no cost to you

Terminals, stations, printers and readers provided at no cost while you process with us. The equipment stays ours — if you ever move to another provider, you simply send it back.

03

Free setup, on site or remote

Catalog and menu build, modifiers, hardware placement, permissions, reports and hands-on staff training. Included, not billed hourly.

04

Ongoing support with no hidden fees

A direct line to the person who configured your system. Menu changes, new hardware, new staff, a report that stopped making sense — no support tier to buy.

How the equipment works

To be straight with you: the equipment isn't a giveaway. We provide the hardware your business needs at no cost to you while you process with us, and it stays ours — if you ever decide to move to a different provider, you simply return it. We look at every business we work with as a partner, and we're invested in your success, not in locking you into a box you paid for. And yes, if you want your rates compared side by side with what you pay today, we'll do that too.

FAQ

Questions we get

Can I keep my Shopify website?

Yes. You'll need an inventory sync between it and your new POS, and we'll set expectations about how reliable that is.

Will my variants come across?

Generally yes with a clean export, though the structure sometimes needs rework on import.

What about existing gift cards?

Plan to honor them manually during a transition window unless balances can be migrated.
